Sunday School: 9:30AM

We have classes for all ages!

On Sunday mornings, we begin Sunday School with breakfast! Parents and volunteers sign-up to bring breakfast to share with the group. After everyone has eaten, we hold a brief Sunday school opening and then our classes split off into their class groups.

Our current class breakdown is:
Tots, Pre-K, & K
1st grade - 4th grade
5th grade - 8th grade
High School & College

** Please note, during the summer Sunday School takes a break! We kick off our classes again in the Fall with Rally Day (September 8th)!

L.E.G.S.

On the 1st Sunday of every month beginning at 6:00pm, we host an event called L.E.G.S.  It stands for Lessons, Eats, Games, and Service.  Each week has a theme, and all of the activities for the night get tied into that theme! It is an event for our youth of all ages from Pre-K - High School!

High School Youth Group

Our youth at Stewart Ave are always up to something!  They’re either doing one of three things….doing mission work, fundraising for that mission work, or having fun.  Our most recent large endeavor mission trip was in 2017 to New Orleans, LA; and we’re planning another one for 2019.  But we also serve God’s people in other ways, for example, by helping with the food pantry, cleaning up the neighborhood, singing Christmas carols at a local nursing home, and serving Thanksgiving dinner to the community.  When we’re not serving, we’re raising money to serve.  Typical ways we do this are through car washes, dinners, bake sales, rummage sales, and special offerings.  We’re no strangers to fun either…we love to bowl, play basketball, go to Kennywood, brave a haunted hayride, host dances, and even go skiing.  The high school youth attend the ELCA Youth Gathering (which is held every three years).  In 2021, it will be held in Minneapolis, MN.  We are just beginning to plan for that.  We hope you can see that youth are very important to the church, and we hope that you will join us in whatever capacity you are able.
